Distribution. Brazil (Amapá *, Amazonas, Bahia * Espírito Santo *, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Pará, Paraná, Piauí, Rondônia, Roraima, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo * and Tocantins) ( Fig. 55 View FIGURE 55 ); Colombia *, Guyana, Peru and Venezuela. Syneches moraballi is a widely distributed species in northern South America, occurring in the biomes of Amazon, Atlantic Forest, Caatinga, Cerrado and Pantanal.
Remarks. Syneches moraballi is easily recognized by the character set presented in the diagnosis. The previous record of S. moraballi from the Brazilian administrative state of Goiás (Araguacema, ref. Menezes & Ale-Rocha 2016) is actually located in the state of Tocantins. Syneches moraballi is one of the most widely distributed species of the genus in Brazil and probably one of the most often collected in the country.
