Emended diagnosis. Pericelidae with elongate oval or circular body; with paired marginal pseudotentacles; cerebral, tentacular and marginal eyes that encircle the body margin; central ruffled pharynx; male reproductive system with prominent seminal vesicle and penis papilla unarmed; female reproductive tract with a pair of uterine vesicles.
