Centaurea lanigera Candolle (1838: 579) View in CoL . Type:— TURKEY. In Oriente ad Mouzourdagh (Munzur Da.), 1837, Aucher 3146 (holotype G-DC! (G00138608), isotypes BM000551978 !, G00074348!, G00223031!, G-BOIS (G00150031)!, K000794259!: top right hand corner of the sheet, P00646496!, P00646497!: right hand of the sheet).

Distribution: — Cyanus lanigerus is endemic to Tunceli, Kayseri, Niğde, Erzincan and Amasya, N and near Central part of Turkey ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 ).
