Centaurea bourgaei Boissier (1875: 637) View in CoL . Type :— TURKEY. In graminosis regionis alpinae montium supra Elmali Lyciae, 9 June 1860, Bourgeau s.n. (holotype G-BOIS! (G00150029), isotypes E00394670!, G00222956!, G-DC! (G00222957), P00703882!, P00703883!).

Distribution: — Cyanus bourgaei is a rare endemic of Antalya Province, SW Turkey ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ).

Selected specimens examined:— TURKEY. Antalya: mountain slope SW of Avlan Lake (80 km SW of Antalya), 1150 m, 28 April 1959, Hennipman 738 (E!); Elmali, Kylar surisi, 1700–1800 m, 12 May 1973, Cedik 2248 (E!) .
