Genus Pellis Sheng & Sun, 2014
Pellis Sheng & Sun, 2014: 46. Type species: Pellis acarinata Sheng & Sun, 2014. Original designation.
Diagnosis. Body without long erect setae. Ventral ends of occipital carina joined with hypostomal carina above base of mandible. Metanotum with hind rim sublaterally not or slightly expanded into a minute denticle. Submetapleural carina strongly and usually abruptly broadened anteriorly, forming a distinct lobe. Propodeum without carinae. Areolet absent. Vein 2 m-cu straight, with a single bulla, which longer than half length of the section of vein 2 m-cu behind the bulla. Nervellus intercepted near the middle. Tarsal claws pectinate. First metasomal tergite evenly and rather gradually narrowed toward base, without latero-median longitudinal carinae, its spiracle situated at basal 0.3. Second and third metasomal tergites without a median transverse impression. Ovipositor shorter than hind tibia, with a distinct subapical dorsal notch.
Distribution. Eastern Palearctic region.
Remarks. Although Sheng & Sun (2014) compared this genus with Alloplasta Förster, 1869 , the character states of this genus are nearer Diradops Townes, 1946 and Cryptopimpla Taschenberg, 1863 than Alloplasta . This genus can be distinguished from other Asian Atrophine genera by the following key. In this key, I referred to Townes (1970), Chandra & Gupta (1977), Gauld et al. (2002), Watanabe & Maeto (2012), Sheng & Sun (2014), Sheng et al. (2018) and Sheng & Jennings (2019).
