Found at 780±1020 m. ex Onopordon anisacanthum : 1M and 2F, Chtaura, Zahleh Co. (Beqaa Valley); 8M and 6F, Ammiq, West Beqaa Co. (Beqaa Valley); 3M and 4F, El Khraizat, West Beqaa Co. (Beqaa Valley); 5M and 2F, Qabb Elias, Zahleh Co. (Beqaa Valley); 2M and 3F, Rayak, Zahle Co. (Beqaa Valley). ex O. illyricum : 4M and 5F, Deir El Ahmar, Baalback Co. (Beqaa Valley); 1M and 2F, Ghazze, West Beqaa Co. (Beqaa Valley).

This species was common in the interior valleys from May to July. This monophagous species has also been found to be associated with other Onopordon spp. and its distribution in Asia includes Israel and Iran ( Foote, 1984; Freidberg and Kugler, 1989).
