Ecology. Endogeic, euryoecious species occurring mostly at arable and grassland sites with low soil organic matter content (≤ 4%) ( Jänsch et al. 2013), but also in forest soil ( Bösener 1965).
Zoogeographical distribution type. Peregrine species native to the Palaearctic, but introduced all over the world ( Csuzdi & Zicsi 2003).
Distribution in Germany.
