Ecology. Epigeic species occurring mostly in the organic layer of forest sites ( Zuck 1951; Bösener 1965; Jänsch et al. 2013) and in compost-heaps; acido-tolerant ( Satchell 1955; Sims & Gerard 1999).
Zoogeographical distribution type. Peregrine species that is native to the Palaearctic but has been introduced all over the world ( Csuzdi & Zicsi 2003).
Distribution in Germany.
