Diagnosis: The shell is large, elliptical in plan, and strongly flattened in profile, the ventral surface is conclave, the aperture is very large, practically central, and oval in shape, the lateral edges of the aperture form bridges reaching the dorsal part of the shell; the shell is without spines; shell length 160 to 190 µm, width 90-110µm, shell height 42-48µm.
Distribution: India: Present record. Elsewhere: Cosmopolitan.
