Figure 8 View FIGURE 8
Description. Male. Body medium.
Head. Face ovoid; fastigium verticis about twice as wide as scape; fastigium frontis separated from fastigium verticis by a very fine suture ( Fig. 8A View FIGURE 8 ). Median ocellus distinct.
Thorax. Anterior margin of pronotum indistinct projecting in middle, posterior margin straight ( Fig. 8B View FIGURE 8 ); lateral lobes longer than high, anterior angle widely arched, posterior angle rounded angular, humeral sinus shallow ( Fig. 8C View FIGURE 8 ). Fore coxae with 1 small spine. Fore and middle femora unarmed; hind femora ventrally with 2–3 internal and 3–4 external spines. Fore and middle tibiae with 4 pairs of spurs and 1 pair of apical spurs on ventral surfaces, middle tibiae with 1 internal spur on dorsal surface. Hind tibiae dorsally with 3–5 internal and 5 external spines, apices with 1 pair of dorsal spurs and 2 pairs of ventral spurs, ventral surface with 1 pair of subapical spurs and 2 pairs of apical spurs. Wings small, laterad; tegmina scaly, apices obtuse; hind wings subtriangular.
Abdomen. Second and third abdominal tergites each with 2 rows of few, very minute stridulatory pegs ( Fig. 8D View FIGURE 8 ). Eighth abdominal tergite prolonged and down-curved ( Fig. 8F View FIGURE 8 ). Ninth abdominal tergite globular, from about central area furrowed and later split along midline ( Fig. 8G View FIGURE 8 ); on both sides of divided area semi-globularly swollen and terminating at ventro-internal angle into long, compressed spine with acute tip ( Fig. 8H View FIGURE 8 ). Subgenital plate wider than long, with convex lateral margins, posterior margin triangularly concave, the lateral lobes rounded; styli long cylindrical, apices obtuse, inserted in about mid of plate length ( Fig. 8I View FIGURE 8 ).
Female. Unknown.
Coloration. Body brown. Median ocellus yellowish brown. Pronotum with black margins. Ventral spines of fore and middle tibiae blackish, dorsal spines of hind tibiae black.
Measurements (mm). Male: BL 21.85, PL 6.43, TL 2.18, HFL 12.4.
Material examined. Holotype: male, Damu, Motuo , Xizang, July 20, 2024, coll. by Ting Luo and Siyu Pang.
Distribution. Xizang (Damu).
Discussion. The new species differs from Larnaca (Larnaca) longispina and Larnaca (Larnaca) lincangensis by body brown, pronotum yellowish brown with black margin, spines of male ninth abdominal tergite shorter, posterior margin of male subgential plate triangularly concave.
Etymology. Name derived from Latin nigr and marg, referring to pronotum with black margins.
