Distribution: AFR species, occurring throughout most of tropical and subtropical areas of sub-Saharan Africa (AO, BF, BI, CD, CF, CM, CV, ER, ET, KE, ML, MR, MW, MZ, NA, NE, SN, SO, TD, TZ, UG, ZA, ZW) and has dispersed into the Arabian Peninsula (AE, YE). A new record to SA.
Life forms and Remarks. MSCD species. The adults were found under stones among grass and collected by handpicking and from light traps placed in Opuntia ficus-indica community (1614–1897 m.a.s.l.) and the Acacia community at a low altitude (1150 m).
