Idiomelas fulvipes fulvipes (Erichson, 1843) View in CoL
Material examined. GRNR: 1614 m: 21.II.2014 , LT, 1 ♂ .
Distribution. AFR_MAD_SAR species. The distribution of this species extends into Sub-Saharan Africa (AO, BW, CV, DJ, MG, SC, SO, TZ, ZA ( Kataev 2014)) and Arabian Peninsula (AE, IQ, OM, SA, YE).
Life forms and Remarks MSCD species. Basilewsky (1979) reported I. (as Egaploa ) crenulata Dejean, 1829 from Bahara (Jeddah, Makkah Province). The actual distribution of I. (Egaploa) crenulata seems to be restricted only to West Africa ( Kataev 1997, 2014). Perhaps the record of Basilewsky (1979) pertains to I. fulvipes fulvipes . In the GRNR, one adult specimen was collected from the Opuntia ficus-indica community.
