Material examined: 10 larvae deriving from 10 females.

Larvae medium-sized: idiosoma 210–222 µm long.

Dorsum: Dp medium-sized (DpL: 196–208 µm; DpW: 156–174 µm), egg-shaped, widest in mid-length. Antero-lateral indents large, obtuse-angled, about 1/4 and 1/3 of plate’s length and width, respectively. DpW/ Mp1-Mp1 5.2. Lp2, Mh1 smooth ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ). Mp1-Mp1 short (30–33 µm), shorter than Mp2-Mp2 (39–44 µm); Mp1-Lp2 intermediate length (37–45 µm). Venter: CpIIm (36–40 µm), CpIIIm (34–39 µm) about equal length; CpIm twice as long (63–67 µm). All setae on Cp bipectinate. C1-CpIm (18–21 µm) about 2/3 of C4- CpIIIm (29–31 µm); C1-C2 intermediate (42–44 µm). Expp oval, of equal width and length. Exp located in plate’s mid-point, about level with E2. Palps: PIII 1 relatively thick and bipectinate; PV3, PV4 pectinate on distal ends; PV6 short, thick. Chelicerae: First segment bottle-shaped (78–83 µm), margins almost flat and parallel, distinctly narrowed anteriorly. Legs: Shorter than body; LI= LII = LIII ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 ). ITi8 thin, short; IGe3, IIGe3, IIIGe3 thick, bipectinate; IITi10, IIITi10 located close to mid-point of tibia. Hosts: Chaoboriddae, Chironomidae , Tanypodidae ( Stechmann 1976 /77, 1978).
