( Fig. 23 View FIGURE 23 )
Hydrachna albator O.F. Müller, 1776
Arrenurus falciger Viets, 1908
Material examined: 10 larvae deriving from 10 females.
Larvae medium-sized: idiosoma 196–206 µm long.
Dorsum: Dp medium-sized (DpL: 192–208 µm; DpW: 144–172 µm), egg-shaped, ends distinctly narrowing, widest at mid-length. Antero-lateral indents large, almost right-angled, about 1/5 and 1/3 of plate’s length and width, respectively. DpW/Mp1-Mp1 5.0. Lp2, Mh1 smooth. Mp1-Mp1 very short (30–33 µm), shorter than Mp2-Mp2 (36–39 µm); Mp1-Lp2 relatively short (38–42 µm). Venter: CpIIm (30–34 µm) shortest, CpI- IIm somewhat longer (34–37 µm); CpIm longest (62–67 µm). CpI:CpII:CpIII ratio 2:1:1.2. C3, C4 bipectinate; C1, C2 pectinate. C1-CpIm (15–19 µm) about 2/3 of C4-CpIIIm (26–31 µm); C1-C2 intermediate length (42–44 µm). Expp oval, its width and length equal. Exp located clearly below plate’s mid-point, level with E2. Palps: PIII 1 bipectinate; PV5 relatively thick and long; PV3, PV4 bipectinate on distal ends; PV6 relatively long. Chelicerae: First segment cylindrical (72–78 ųm), slightly curved in anterior part. Legs: As long as body; LI< LII = LIII ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 ). ITi8 thin, short; IGe3, IIGe3, IIIGe3 relatively thick; IITi10, IIITi10 located close to mid-point of tibia. Hosts: larvae of Coleoptera ( Cassagne-Méjean 1966) , Nematocera ( Stechmann 1980).
