Description. Male length 3.8–3.9 mm.
Vertex milky yellow, with single large black spot medially ( Figs 1, 3 View FIGURES 1 – 5 ). Eyes greyish black ( Figs 1-4 View FIGURES 1 – 5 ). Face with most of anteclypeus blackish brown; frontoclypeus with two large arched dark brown stripes along sides, other areas brownish ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 5 ). Pronotum dark brown medially, with diamond-shaped muscle impression in middle and two dark brown marks scattered on each lateral margin, other part milky yellow ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 5 ). Mesonotum and scutellum milky yellow, with vertical central yellow belt divided by scutellar suture; two tiny brownish spots located anterad of scutellar suture ( Figs 1, 3 View FIGURES 1 – 5 ). Scutellum with apex brownish ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 5 ).
Male abdominal apodemes short, hooklike apically, extended mesad at base of 3rd sternite ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 6 – 16 ). Pygofer side with dorsal appendage basal half inflated and distal half narrowed; ventrolateral setal group with 9 rigid setae, much smaller than macrosetae ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 6 – 16 ). Style apex long and sharp, preapical lobe prominent but not acutely angulate ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 6 – 16 ). Connective lamellate, with two lateral arms and stem long; central lobe broad, well developed, with median sclerotized area darker than margins ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 6 – 16 ). Aedeagal shaft curved dorsad, tapering apically, with pair of divergent long processes basally; preatrium mostly as long as aedeagal shaft, curved dorsad basally ( Figs 15, 16 View FIGURES 6 – 16 ). Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin word “musculus” (robust, strong), referring to the leafhopper body large and robust ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 5 ).
