Distribution. Cuba, Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Martinique, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, USA, Virgin Islands, Venezuela ( Princz 1982: as Volvulella recta ; Valdés et al. 2006: Volvulella acuta ; Rosenberg 2009).

Remarks. No material of this species was found. Venezuela is the southern limit of the distribution of this species.
