Description:

Female (N=5, figs. 41, 130–133):

Total length 8.0– 9.5 mm

Head (fig. 132): Dark brown. Antenna robust, pointed, flagellum 6-segmented? Complex eye rather large, oval.

Thorax (fig. 132): Brown, haltere light brown.

Legs: Brown, slender, femora basally pale. Hind tibia pale.

Wing (fig. 133): Brown fumose, veins brown. Costal cell considerably darkened. Humeral vein absent. Subcosta relatively strong, straight, running close to but well separated from R. Pterostigma brown, not very distinctive. Costa extends to a little beyond apex of R 4+5. R 2+3 short, steep, evenly curved. R 4+5 apically strongly curved. R-M vertical. M- and CuA-veins apically straight. CuP straight, reaching wing margin, running more or less parallel to CuA and well separated from this vein. Vein measurements are given in Table 4.

Abdomen: dark brown, cylindrical. Cerci rounded.

Male (N=1, figs. 42, 134–137):

Total length 7.0 mm

Head (fig.136): Length 1.04 mm, width 1.18 mm. Blackish-brown. Antenna relatively slender, cylindrical, flagellum 0.42 mm long, 0.09 mm wide, possibly 8-segmented. Palpus blackish-brown.

Thorax (fig. 136): Length 2.1 mm. Blackish-brown, haltere light brown.

Legs: Slender. Fore- and mid-femora pale yellowish with distal fourth blackish-brown, hind femur pale yellowish with extreme tip dark. All tibiae and tarsi blackish-brown. Fore femur 1.8 mm long, 0.33 mm wide, fore tibia 2.1 mm long, 0.19 mm wide, fore first tarsomere 0.94 mm long, hind femur 2.2 mm long, 0.34 mm wide, hind tibia 2.6 mm long, 0.33 mm wide,

Wing (fig. 135): length 5.8 mm, width 2.3 mm, length/width = 2.56. Relatively narrow, apically rounded, brown fumose, costal cell somewhat darkened. Veins dark brown, relatively fine but distinctive throughout. Pterostigma broadly oval, brown, not very distinctive. Humeral vein present, oblique. Subcosta straight, basally running very close to R and difficult to separate from this vein. Costa extends to a little beyond apex of R 4+5. R 2+3 relatively short, oblique, strongly and evenly curved. R 4+5 apically strongly curved. R-M vertical. Fork of M almost symmetrical, veins gently curved. CuA-veins strong, apically gently curved. CuP rather strong, straight. Vein measurements are given in Table 4.

Abdomen: Length 4.2 mm, width 1.5 mm. Blackish-brown, conical (basally relatively wide).

Terminalia (fig. 137): Hypopygium 0.85 mm wide, rectangular in outline. Gonostylus 0.38 mm long, attached laterally, straight and relatively long, blunt. Epandrium relatively small, rectangular, apically gently concave.
