Diagnosis. Face and clypeus whitish yellow with median blackish brown spots. Scutoscutellar groove wide and deep, bottom smooth. Postpetiole with shallow median longitudinal concavity. Second tergum ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 24 – 28 ) with dense and distinct punctures. Male’s subgenital plate with one deep apical median notch, mesosternum and lower portion of mesopleuron yellow.

Description. Female. Body length 8.0 to 9.5 mm. Fore wing length 7.0 to 7.5 mm.

Head. Face ( Fig. 25 View FIGURES 24 – 28 ) approximately 1.7 to 1.8 times as wide as long, slightly convex centrally, with distinct coriaceous texture and even, dense and fine punctures, upper margin with a small median tubercle. Clypeal suture indistinct, median portion vestigial. Clypeus approximately 2.5 times as wide as long, weakly convex, with correspondingly large punctures; apical margin coarse, with long brown hairs. Mandible with fine granulous texture, apical portion with sparse punctures and long brown hairs, lower margins smooth; upper tooth slightly curved inward; lower tooth approximately 2.5 times as long as upper tooth. Cheek with texture similar to that of face, but distinctly denser than that. Malar space 0.56 to 0.61 times as long as basal width of mandible. Gena glossy, with fine coriaceous texture and even, dense and fine punctures; posterior portion convergent backwardly, in lateral view approximately 1.2 times as long as width of eye. Vertex ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 24 – 28 ) and frons with texture as that of gena. Interocellar area small, convex. Postocellar line 0.33 to 0.35 times as long as ocular-ocellar line. Frons flat. Antenna slightly longer than body, with 37 to 42 flagellomeres; ratio of length from first to fifth flagellomeres: 7.6:6.0:5.6:5.2:4.7. Occipital carina complete and strong.

Mesosoma. Pronotum with unclear fine granulous texture, subanterior margin with a distinct longitudinal fine ridge, upper-posterior portion with dense fine punctures. Epomia strong. Mesoscutum even convex, with dense, even and fine punctures; lateral margin from tegula to scutellum strongly marginate. Notaulus indistinct. Scutoscutellar groove wide and deep, bottom smooth. Scutellum evenly convex, with texture as that of mesoscutum, basal 0.3 with strong lateral carina. Postscutellum transversely convex, anterior portion deeply smoothly concave. Mesopleuron with fine coriaceous texture and dense even punctures, distance between punctures 0.2 to 1.2 times diameter of puncture. Speculum present. Epicnemial carina strong, upper end reaching to half distance to subalar prominence, far distant from front margin of mesopleuron. Metapleuron with texture as that of mesoscutum. Submetapleural carina complete, anterior portion strongly convex triangularly. Wing gray-brownish hyaline. Fore wing with vein 1cu-a opposite or slightly basal of 1/M. Areolet slanting quadrangular, with short petiole, 3rs-m longer than 2rs-m, receiving vein 2m-cu at 0.65 to 0.75 distance from vein 2rs-m to 3rs-m. Vein 2-Cu distinctly longer than 2cu-a. Hind wing vein 1/cu about 2 times as long as cu-a. Front profile of fore tibia strongly spiny. Ratio of length of hind tarsomeres from first to fifth: 10.0:4.2:3.2:2.1:2.2. Claws densely pectinate. Propodeum ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 24 – 28 ) with alutaceous texture. Basal portions of median and lateral longitudinal carinae disappeared. Costula complete. Area superomedia complete, slightly convergent backwardly, approximately 1.6 times as long as widest width, with weak transverse wrinkles. Anterior, posterior transverse and pleural carinae complete. Propodeal spiracle almost circular, distance to lateral longitudinal carina as long as to pleural carina.

Metasoma. Apical portion of metasoma weakly compressed. First tergum approximately 2.0 times as long as apical width, basal portion smooth, median portion slightly coarse, postpetiole with shallow median longitudinal concavity and distinct fine punctures. Without median dorsal carina. Dorsolateral carinae complete. Spiracle circular, small, located slightly before middle of first tergum. Second tergum ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 24 – 28 ) 0.8 to 0.9 times as long as apical width, with dense and fine punctures, distance between punctures 0.2 to 0.7 times diameter of puncture. Third and fourth terga with texture similar to that of second tergum, but punctures more finer than that of second tergum. Ovipositor sheath 0.6 to 0.7 times as long as apical depth of metasoma.

Color ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 24 – 28 ). Black, except the following. Face and clypeus yellowish white with median blackish brown spots. Mandibles except teeth, maxillary palpi, labial palpi, cheek, lower end of gena, ventral profile of scape, front and middle coxae and trochanters yellow. Ventral profile of basal portion of flagella brown, dorsal profile blackish brown, apical portion filemot. Front and middle legs, ventral profiles of hind coxae, trochanters and tibiae brown to yellowish brown. Dorsal profiles of front and middle femora with unclear longitudinal darkish brown narrow spots. Hind tarsomeres whitish yellow. Anterior and posterior margins of second tergum and following terga reddish brown. Tegula brown. Stigma and veins brownish black.

Male. Body length approximately 9.0 mm. Fore wing length approximately 7.5 mm. Antenna with 42 flagellomeres. Subgenital plate with one deep apical median notch. Lower portion of gena yellow, median reddish brown. Face, propleuron, lower portions of pronotum and mesopleuron, mesosternum yellow.

Variation. Ventral profile of hind coxa yellowish brown to darkish brown. Second tergum of female entirely black to with anterior and posterior margins asymmetrical reddish brown.

Remarks. Similar to P. owaniensis ( Uchida, 1930) , but can be distinguished from the latter by the following combination of characters: pronotum black, dorsal profiles of hind coxae and tibiae and hind femora entirely black, hind tarsi whitish yellow, costula complete. Priopoda owaniensis : pronotum red, hind coxae and femora entirely brown, tibiae and tarsi yellowish brown, costula indistinct.
