- Cephalothorax multo longior quam latior, planissimus, fere parallelus, fovea thoracica magna et profunda impressus. Oculi cuncti parvi, quatuor medii, ad marginem frontalem depressum siti, aream plus duplo latiorem quam longiorem et antice quam postice multo angustiorem occupantes, antici posticis minores, laterales antici ad marginem siti, a mediis non multo distantes, laterales postici a mediis latissime distantes, sed parum remoti, cum mediis lineam latam recurvam formantes. Laminae longae, angustae. rectae et parallelae, apice obtusae. Sternum angustum. antice posticeque fere aequaliter attenuatum. Pedes breves et robusti, cuncti aculeati, tarsis. praesertim posticis, parvis, compressis sed ad basin attenuatis, unguibus superioribus longis, numerose et tenuiter pectinatis. Cribellum bipartitum. Calamistrum ex setis longis uniseriatis compositum.
Ce genre appartient a la famille des Eresidae , mais il est très anormal et deviendra le type d'une sous-famille, reliant les Eresidae ,jus-qu'ici très isolés au milieu des Cribellatés, aux Amaurobius et aux Zoropsis .Le céphalothorax et les yeux offrent une frappante analogie avec ceux des Hemicloea de la familie des Drassidae .
