Middle-late Miocene (Bessarabian): Eastern Paratethys ( Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan).

Genus Sinzowia Kolesnikov, 1835 †
Type species. Phasianella intermedia Sinzow, 1877 View in CoL , OD ( Kolesnikov 1935: 195). Middle-late Miocene (Bessarabian), Moldova .
Diagnosis. Small to medium sized, slender turriculate shells with carinate angulation close to or slightly above abapical suture. Sculpture consisting of spiral cords, Carina smooth or tuberculate. No umbilicus.
Remarks. Endemic to the Bessarabian (mid-Sarmatian) of the Eastern Paratethys.
