Type Locality: "Fanti[land]", now identified as Ghana, inland from Cape Coast, probably in Denkara ( Grubb et al., 1998).

Vernacular Names: Brooke's Duiker.

Distribution: Sierra Leone, Liberia, W Côte d’Ivoire, W Ghana.

Discussion: Formerly included in C. ogilbyi ; restored to species status by Grubb et al. (1998) and Grubb and Groves (2002).
