Junior synonym of Pristocnemis farinosus (Mello-Leitão, 1922) (see Soares 1943a). The original description mistakenly mentions a female holotype. However, examination of the specimen showed it is in fact a male. The author probably confused the sex due to the fact that is very slightly armed. Available.
