Diagnosis. This species is similar to L. sutshanicum Pesenko from eastern Asia. The female is separated from that of L. sutshanicum (male not examined in the present study) by the posterior surface of propodeum, which has a complete lateral carina extending to a transverse carina ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3. A, B C). In contrast, in the female of L. sutshanicum the lateral carina of the propodeum is incomplete and it does not extends to a transverse carina ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3. A, B D).

Distribution. North Korea, South Korea, Japan, China, Russian Far East. Murao et al. (2014) listed this species only from North Korea, but Ebmer (1996) also recorded it from South Korea.

Flight period in South Korea. Female: April to October. Male: July to August. In Japan, male flies from August to September (Murao 2014).

Flower records in South Korea. This species has been recorded from at least 14 plant species in 12 families, as follows: Asteraceae : Taraxacum sp. Brassicaceae : Brassica spp. Caryophyllaceae : Sagina japonica (Sw.) Ohwi. Ericaceae : Rhododendron spp. Fabaceae : Amorpha sp. Geraniaceae : Geranium thunbergii Siebold ex Lindl. & Paxton. Lardizabalaceae : Akebia quinata (Houtt.) Decne. Oleaceae : Forsythia suspensa (Thunb.) Vahl. Rhamnaceae : Rhamnus davurica Pall. Rosaceae : Malus toringo (Siebold) Siebold ex Vriese ; Pourthiaea villosa (Thub.) Decne. var. villosa . Salicaceae : Salix sp. Styracaceae : Styrax japonica Siebold & Zucc. ; S. obassia Siebold & Zucc.
