Material examined. ♂ holotype, 20♂ paratypes, 1♀ paratype, Turkey, Bolu vill., Abant Mountains , 29.04– 20.05. 1976, leg. H. Korge (SMF 30055, 30056, 58853) .

Distribution. Turkey,? Georgia ( Fig 16 View FIGURE 16 ).
Remarks. The species was described from near Bolu, Turkey ( Wunderlich 1980) and was recorded subsequently form Abkhazia, Georgia ( Dunin & Nenilin 1987). Danışman & Rubio (2017) described Z. tireboluensis n. syn. from Aslancık village, near Tirebolu, Turkey. After careful examination of the type material of Z. abantense it became obvious that the SEM pictures of Z. tireboluensis n. syn. in Danışman & Rubio (2017) show no differ- ence with the type specimens of Z. abantense ( Figs 8–10 View FIGURES 8–11 , 12–13 View FIGURES 12–15 ). Here it is also provided a mirrored image of the left palp ( Fig 9 View FIGURES 8–11 ) for easy comparison with the imaged right palp of Z. tireboluensis . The shapes of the RTA, E, MA and the retinaculum are fully identical. The picture of the female vulva ( Danışman & Rubio 2017: 183, fig. 4, right) also shows no differences from that of Z. abantense ( Figs 11 View FIGURES 8–11 , 14–15 View FIGURES 12–15 ). The authors diagnose Z. tireboluensis n. syn. as being close to Zodarion aurorae Weiss, 1982 , but it is not compared to Z. abantense . The measurements and the description also fit those of Z. abantense . Therefore, Z. tireboluensis n. syn. is considered a junior synonym of Z. abantense .
The record of Z. abantense from Abkhazia, Georgia ( Dunin & Nenilin 1987) might be doubtful. In the drawings presented in the paper it is obvious that the TA in lateral view is perpendicular to the cymbium while on the type specimens the angle is different and it is ending at 10 o’clock ( Fig 10 View FIGURES 8–11 ). There are also some differences in the shape of the retinaculum. However, only a re-examination of the material from Georgia may prove that .
Z. abantense View in CoL has a typical Euxinic distribution (see Dimitrov 2020: 167–168 View Cited Treatment ), near the southern Black Sea shores.
