MACROSCAPHA SPP. View in CoL (FROM THE INFORMAL GROUP
‘MH. TURBIDA’) ( FIGS 62F, M View Figure 62 , 63F, M View Figure 63 )
1987 Macrocyprina turbida, Hartmann, 1987: 132 View in CoL .
1989b Macrocyprina turbida, Hartmann, 1989b: 253 View in CoL .
1993 in part Macroscapha cf. opaca, Hartmann, 1993: 232 .
Material: 9 live specimens.
1 A F, contained in a glass labelled ‘K- 33303, Macrocyprina cf. turbida, Antarktis, Sta. PS 06/208, lg. Mühlenhardt-Siegel, 4.12.1984, det. Hartmann, 1986 ‘ This specimen was studied by Hartmann (1987). ZMH K-33303.
1 A M, contained in a glass labelled ‘K- 33930, Macrocyprina turbida, Antarktis /Winterreise, Stat. PS 09/V-1:123 (2), 1/d. Hartmann, 1986, ♂ ’. This specimen was studied by Hartmann (1989b). ZMH K-33930.
2 A F, 1 live juvenile, labelled ‘K- 33931, Macrocyprina turbida, Antarktis /Winterreise, Stat. PS 09/V- 1:136 (4), 1/d. Hartmann, 1986, 2 females, 1 larve’. These specimens were studied by Hartmann (1989b). ZMH K-33931.
A few partially dissected specimens (at least 4 A F) were contained in a glass with glycerine, labelled ‘ZMH K-35502a, Macroscapha cf. opaca MADDOCKS, 1990 , Antarktis, 1. Station nach O’Higgins, PS Ant. X 1b, 22.12.91, l/d. Hartmann’. These specimens were studied by Hartmann (1993). ZMH K-35502a. (See remarks of Mh. spp. in the section of the Mh. tensaopaca informal group.)
5 RV, 3 LV (plus 3 broken LV), were contained on a micropalaeontological slide, labelled ‘ZMH K-35501b, Macroscapha cf. opaca MADDOCKS, 1990 , PS Ant. X 1b, 1. Station nach O’Higgins, 22.12.91, l/d. Hartmann’. These specimens were studied by Hartmann (1993). This slide is most probably mislabelled (as K-35501b), as it comes from the same station as the vial above (ZMH K-35502) and is also identified as ‘ Macroscapha cf. opaca Maddocks, 1990 ’. The correct collection number is most probably ZMH K-35502b. The number ZMH K-35501 is equivalent to one vial and one micropalaeontological slide identified by Hartmann (1993) as Macroscapha turbida (see section on Mh. turbida ), and collected on the same Polarstern cruise (PS Ant. X 1b), but in another station (‘Zwischen Joinville und d’Urville’). (See remarks of Mh. spp. in the section of the Mh. tensaopaca informal group.) These specimens are herein illustrated in Figures 62F, M View Figure 62 and 63F, M View Figure 63 .
Remarks: The specimens included in this section cannot be further identified because they are partially dissected and/or the valves are decalcified or broken.
