? Austrodontura sp.

A single female specimen from the collection of the Iziko South African Museum differs from other known specimens of the genus Austrodontura in having only 1 pair of ventral apical spurs on the apex of the hind tibia. It also lacks discernible ocelli and its fastigium of vertex possesses a distinct longitudinal groove. In other respects this specimen closely resembles A. capensis . It is likely that the specimen represents a distinct species of this or a related genus, but we abstain from describing it until more material becomes available.
