Distribution.

In Peninsular Malaysia, known from Perlis and Perak ( Maassen 2001). Elsewhere, in the tropical regions of the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Islands ( Seddon 2000).

Remarks.

Distinguished from sympatric congener Ptychopatula solemi by its larger shell, wider whorls, wide umbilicus and lower spire.
