Notes
Species complex. In addition to forming a complex of at least three putative cryptic species in northern Europe alone ( Bleidorn et al. 2006), Scoloplos armiger is also easily confused with congeners (e.g. the two Mediterranean species Scoloplos haasi (Monro, 1937) and Scoloplos typicus (Eisig, 1914)).
