Type species: Staphylinus stercorarius Olivier, 1795 , by monotypy.

NOTES. Previously 13 species of this genus were known in Russia ( Schülke & Smetana, 2015). Two species are added for the Russian fauna here. A list of species from the Russian Far East is given below.
