Remarks: This species was described by Boudreaux, 1954 from the United States, on Ligustrum sp. We have identified the species as Tetranychus merganser Boudreaux, 1954 by comparing the structure of the aedeagus, tarsus of leg I and II mainly the number of setae proximal to the proximal duplex setae, and the length and width of the idiosoma. We have redescribed the species with proper measurements.	en	Samanta, Subhra, Karmakar, Krishna, Ueckermann, Edward A.
