(Ramírez-Mora and Patitucci) can be differentiated from all its congeners by the following combination of characters: prementum almost 1.5× as long as head height, longest hairs of arista more than 1× the width of postpedicel, the bilobed pregonite, and the chaetotaxy of sternite 6 and 7 in female ovipositor.

Description

Colouration (Figures 1, 5). General colour black to dark brown, covered with grey brownish pruinosity (Figures 1 (a), 5(a)). Head with frontal vitta black posteriorly to brown anteriorly. Parafrontal, parafacialia, and face yellowish golden pruinosity. Parafacialia in lateral view with a dark brown to brown mark from the insertion level of pedicel to almost the tip of the flagellomere (Figure 1 (b)). Gena with yellowish-grey pruinosity, with a brown to dark brown spot from the vibrissal angle and extending to the posterior margin of eye in lateral view. Antennae dark brown. Inner surface of pedicel brown. Arista basally brown, otherwise light brown. Proboscis dark brown. Palpi brown with darker apices. Thorax with three narrow longitudinal dark brown vittae (Figure 1 (b)), in female the vittae less conspicuous. The central one along the acrostichal setae extending over the scutellum but interrupted on the scutoscutellar suture, in female not extended over the scutellum. Lateral vittae (more evident in lateral view) connecting the posthumeral and presutural supra-alar setae, posteriorly divided into two stripes; one stripe along the postsutural intra-alar setae and the other one along the prealar and postsutural supra-alar setae; the lateral vittae in female barely visible. Dorsocentral setae with dark brown bases. Pleura with some brown marks. Legs dark brown. Coxae, distal half of femora on ventral surface, and tibiae light brown. Pulvilli brownish. Wing with membrane hyaline. Veins light brown. Calypters hyaline with yellowish margins. Haltere yellow with a slightly darker base. Abdomen with a central narrow longitudinal dark brown vitta, and with posterolateral dark brown spots on tergites 3–4 (Figures 1 (c, d), 5(c, d)). Posterior margin of tergites light brown.
