17A5860EA6FA53E8A37B081818CA57A4.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis Eritingis recentis can be distinguished from other species of Eritingis based on a combination of the following characteristics: body length 3.0 - 3.2 mm, 3.3 times as long as maximum width across hemelytra (Fig. 1 a-d); rostrum reaching anterior margin of metasternum (Fig. 2 a); anterior margin of hood protruding anteriad in middle part (Fig. 2 b); anterior margin of hemelytron nearly straight (Fig. 2 c); costal area distinct, with a single row of areolae throughout its length; subcostal area with 1 - 2 rows of areolae in basal part and 2 rows in remaining parts; discoidal area with 5 - 6 rows of areolae at widest part; sutural area with 9 rows of areolae at widest part; and female terminalia pentagonal in ventral view (Fig. 2 d).	en	Souma, Jun (2021): First record of the lace bug genus Eritingis (Drake and Ruhoff) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Tingidae) from Japan and Thailand. (Fig. 3), Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam (Drake and Ruhoff 1965 a, Drake and Ruhoff 1965 b, Tomokuni 2008, present study).
