Diagnosis. Form (Fig. 40f, g) broad oval, dorsum convex and glabrous. Dorsal side straw yellow to ochreous or orange yellow, pronotum with a large M-shaped ochreous median marking occupying most of the disc leaving only the antero- and posterolateral corners creamy white to yellowish, elytra with 14 white spots arranged in a 2-2-2-1 pattern on each elytron. Genitalia not studied.

Distribution. India (Kuznetsov 1997). It is primarily a Palaearctic species (Japan; China; Mongolia; Europe).

Note. The material examined at BMNH is illustrated and specimens from India were not seen.
