Type locality: Tawney’s Cave, 8 mi E of Pearisburg, Giles Co., VIRGINIA. Male holotype in MCZ. New record: VIRGINIA: Giles Co.: Tawney’s Cave, 14 August 1973, L. Ferguson, 3, ƤƤ.
Notes: This later sample confirms the continued existence of a population of P. sublevis at the type locality at least some 30 years after the original description. This species is known from a number of cave localities in Giles and Montgomery Counties, but has the appearance of a troglophile.
