Identification guide: Veron (2000)
Notes for local identification: Colonies are incrusting to sub-massive and have smaller corallites than E. grandicula . Colonies are brown with irregularly exserted polyps. The polyps are exserted mostly on the up-growths and not that much exserted at colonies’ margin.
Abundance: uncommon.
Depth of occurrence: About 3 to 5 m.
