Notes for local identification: Colonies are encrusting, mostly green. They are usually infected with polychaetes. Polyps were widely spaced and exerted (Barbattoia shape) in colonies which covered convex surfaces.
Abundance: common
Depth of occurrence: 3 to 5 m
