Taxonomic comment. This represents the first record of this species since its description by H.E.S. Clark (1982) and extends the range from the Kermadec Islands and Australia to Norfolk Ridge.

Occurrence. Kermadec Islands, north of New Zealand and coast of New South Wales, Australia New Caledonia, 110– 300 m
