Wulingnus Irfan, Zhang & Peng, gen. n.
(KWeø)
Type species: Wulingnus furcatus sp. n.
Etymology. This genus name derives from the type locality that is located in the Wuling Mountain range. Gender masculine.
Diagnosis. Wulingnus gen. n. can be distinguished from all the other Erigoninae genera by the long, elliptical, transparent convector kidney-shaped, extending forward to form projection apically; embolus filiform, running along the retrolateral margin of the convector (Figs 202A–D, 203A, B, 204A, B). Copulatory ducts long, thick, with inverted coiled loop before joining the spermathecae, present mesally on the dorsal plate (Figs 205A–C).
Description. Same as for type species.
Remarks. Wulingnus gen. n. seems closely related to the genus Houshenzinus in having the convector in male palp and copulatory duct mid dorsally forming several loops before entering the spermathecae in epigyne (Figs 291A–D, 292A, B, 293A, B, 294A–C; Zhao & Li 2014, figs 44A–D, 45A, B, 46A–C), but can be distinguished by the convector kidney-shaped in male palp in Wulingnus gen. n. (Figs 291A–D, 292A, B, 293A, B; vs. comma-shaped); copulatory ducts with inverted coiled loops in Wulingnus gen. n. (Figs 294A–C; vs. coiled loop in vertical position).
Composition. Wulingnus gen. n. belongs to the subfamily Erigoninae and here erected to accommodate W. furcatus sp. n. and W. inversus sp. n. .
Distribution. Known only from the type localities (Hubei Province, Fig. 313).
