Types. Holotype ♀, CHINA, Hubei Prov.: Badong Co., Yanduhe Town, Songziyuan Vill., 31.3406°N, 110.4131°E, 1320 m, 26.IV.2016, W. Liu et al. leg.
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the type locality; adjective.
Diagnosis. Linyphia songziyuanensis sp. n. resembles L. yangmingensis (Figs 131A–D; Yin et al. 2012, figs 236a–d), but can be distinguished by the dorsal plate projection rectangular in L. songziyuanensis sp. n. (Figs 131A–C; vs. somewhat triangular); spermathecae located dorso-laterally, pointing away from each other in L. songziyuanensis sp. n. (Fig. 131D; vs. situates dorso-mesally, pointing towards each other); spiral folds with three and half turns in L. songziyuanensis sp. n. (Fig. 131D; vs. with one and half turns).
Description. Female (Figs 131E–G): Total length: 4.77. Carapace 1.94 long, 1.35 wide, yellow, fovea, cervical and radial grooves distinct. Clypeus 0.23 high. Chelicerae with five promarginal and four retromarginal teeth. Sternum longer than wide, yellow with microsetae. Eyes: AER recurved, PER straight, slightly wider. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.06, ALE 0.11, PME 0.08, PLE 0.11, AME–AME 0.09, PME–PME 0.11, AME– ALE, 0.11, PME–PLE 0.14, AME–PME 0.15, ALE–ALE 0.56, PLE–PLE 0.61, ALE–PLE contiguous. Length of legs: I 10.95 (2.83, 3.21, 3.32, 1.59), II 9.18 (2.51, 2.63, 2.73, 1.31), III 5.60 (1.62, 1.61, 1.54, 0.83), IV 7.15 (2.37, 2.25, 1.43, 1.10). TmI present. Tibial spine formula: 2-2- 2-2. Opisthosoma 2.77 long, 1.34 wide, cylindrical, grey with irregular white patches and longitudinal white strip on each side extending posteriorly; ventral side grey with irregular white patches.
Epigyne (Figs 131A–D): Scape (SC) protruding, robust; cavity with a projection of rectangular shaped on each side; copulatory openings (CO) narrow, covered by the lateral walls. Spiral folds (SF) coiled before entering the spermathecae; turning point (TP) and spermathecae present at apex anteriorly; spermathecae (S) oval, present dorso-laterally, pointing away from each other. Fertilization ducts (FD) present postero-laterally.
Male. Unknown.
Distribution. Known only from the type locality (Hubei Province, Fig. 313).
