Types. Holotype ♂ (HNU–HN– IV–1715), CHINA, Hunan Prov.: Xiangxi, Baojing Co., Maogou Town, Baiping Vill., Baiyun MNNR, 28.61789°N, 109.40585°E, 298 m, G.C. Zhou et al. leg. Paratypes: 1♀, with same data as for holotype (HNU–HN– IV–1715).
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the type locality; adjective.
Diagnosis. Oia baiyunensis sp. n. resembles O. imadatei in having similar thick, robust spine in male palp and ventral plate in epigyne in female (Figs 169A– D, 170A–D; Lv et al. 2015, figs 2A–E), but can be distinguished by the dorsal tibial apophysis short with broad distal end in O. baiyunensis sp. n. (Figs 169A–C; vs. two times longer than tibial apophysis of O. baiyunensis sp. n.); distal end of embolus relatively thick in O. baiyunensis sp. n. (Figs 169A, D; vs. filiform); copulatory openings present mid ventrally lower to anterior margin of epigynal plate in O. baiyunensis sp. n. (Figs 170A–D; vs. present mid ventrally at the anterior margin of epigynal plate); spermathecae kidney-shaped in O. baiyunensis sp. n. (Figs 170A–D; vs. round).
