Calli and thorax ventral surface covered with white pruinescence.

Hemelytra nearly as wide as pronotum, margins slightly sinuated (Fig. 5); costal area narrow, regularly uniseriate in its length, most areolae lengthwise subquadrate; subcostal area wider than costal area, regularly biseriate, areolae round; discoidal area extending more than half length of hemelytra, seven areolae broad at widest part; sutural area wider than discoidal area, eight areolae broad at widest part, areolae polygonal; areolae on hypocostal laminae oblong-ovate.

Etymology. The species name is derived from the Latin noun angustus (= narrow), in reference to its body being narrow.

Discussion. The new species, Ulonemia angusta sp. nov., differs from U. assamensis and U. jingae sp. nov. by the following characters: its smaller body size, its smaller hood (four areolae long) and semi-globular in dorsal view, distinctly lower than median carina (Fig. 13), its rostrum reaching to posterior margin of mesosternum (Fig. 17), and its lengthwise subquadrate areolae on costal area. However, in U. assamensis and U. jingae sp. nov., the hood is moderately larger (six to seven areolae long), globular in dorsal view, and at least as high as the median carina (Figs. 7–8, 11–12). The rostrum is slightly longer, reaching the middle of metasternum (Figs. 15–16). The areolae of costal area are are widthwise oblong to subquadrate(Fig. 1–3).

U. angusta sp. nov. differs from U. malaccae by its costal area uniformly uniseriate in contrast with a partially biseriate (at the widest part) costal area of U. malaccae and its rostrum reaching posterior margin of mesosternum, compared to U. malaccae ’s longer rostrum almost reaching the end of sulcus.
