(9) Martens (2001) revised the taxonomy of the subfamily Herpetocypridinae Kaufmann, 1900,

and placed the genera Parastenocypris Hartmann, 1964 and Gesa Hartmann, 1964 into the synonymy of the genus Chrissia Hartmann, 1957 . Here, we also assign species of Parastenocypris and Gesa to Chrissia for which the ‘new combination’ was not expressly designated.
