Description. Shell height to 3.6 mm (up to 4.5 mm according to Dell 1990); fusiform, solid. Protoconch large, tilted, of 1.5 elongated, smooth whorls, with the apex partially sunken. Teleoconch of up to 3 whorls, slightly convex in outline, with slightly concave shoulder; last whorl comprising about 60% of total shell height. Suture impressed. Surface white; sculptured with 12 to 16 strong axial ribs and 3 to 5 spiral cords per whorl, which produce large beads at their intersections; base with 5 to 7 additional cords. Axial sculpture vanishing towards the shoulder and the base. Aperture ovate, interior white; outer lip with a small posterior (“anal”) canal; columellar callus moderately thick; siphonal canal moderately long, somewhat oblique, wide. Operculum ovate, nucleus subterminal; pale brown, translucent.
