Amphinemura coreana Zwick, 1973

Material examined. Notes. This very large species was first described from Korea (Zwick 1973a) but occurs also in the Russian Far East (Zhiltzova 2003).

Female. The male genitalia are very different from other Korean Amphinemura, and so are the female genital sclerites. In dorsal view of a cleared specimen (Fig. 1) one notices a large, strongly sclerotized pouch about as long as wide, with parabolic front margin and an acute, rearward pointing muscle attachment on the side. The dorsal face is anteriorly covered by a large collar-like shield with crenulate margin. The shield includes a heart-shaped anterior membranous area with delicate funnel-shaped folds to which the bases of the two receptacles are attached. In the centre of the rear half appear two strong sclerotized folds which converge and form a Y-shaped pattern.
