Xiphidiopsis bifurcata: Liu & Bi, 1994, Acta Zootaxonomica Sinica, 19(3): 329.
Discussion: Nefateratura was proposed for a species bearing unpaired terminal projections on the male 10th abdominal tergite as a subgenus of Alloteratura . Alloteratura mesembrina Kevan & Jin, 1993 was also included. Gorochov (2008) elevated the subgenus to generic rank together with Indoteratura and questioned the status of Nefateratura mesembrina because its male genitalia were very similar to those of the genus Decma . Xiphidiopsis bifurcata is allied to the type species owing to: the unpaired projection of male 10th abdominal tergite, the elongate male cerci (Figs. 69–74); paired bands of the vertex and pronotum (Figs. 66, 67); the strongly projecting and sclerotized male genitalia (Figs. 69–74); and they all from southern Xizang.
