Although J.R.I. Wood & F. Mamami 27487 (Santa Cruz, Cordillera, c. 20 km de Abapó en el camino a Charagua pasando el Tocovo, 19°04´S, 63°17´W, 570m, LPB, K, USZ) clearly belongs to series Farinosae, and is close to Mimosa detinens, this specimen is unarmed, has peduncles as long as the petiole of associated leaf, and pubescent fruits, a combination of characters that suggest it could represent a distinct species. Further collections are needed.
