23. * Mimosa hexandra M. Micheli

Not recorded from Bolivia by Barneby (1991), but with several new collections accumulating, it is now apparent that this species is widespread in eastern Bolivia in swampy places in the Chaco biome as far apart as Quimome (J.R.I. Wood & D. Goyder 15728 & J.R.I. Wood & Pozo 25057, LPB, K, USZ), 67 km N of San José (J.R.I. Wood & D. Soto 25433, LPB, K, USZ), and Yacuses (J.R.I. Wood & D. Villarroel 25537, LPB, K, USZ), as might be expected from its abundance just across the border along the Rio Paraguay, and wide disjunct distribution across the Neotropics.
