Arpactophilus abdominalis Bohart, 1999

(Figs. 23–24)

Arpactophilus abdominalis Bohart, 1999: 98 [♀: holotype MNHN].

Diagnosis. Arpactophilus abdominalis is the only New Caledonian species in the genus with the combination of a bulge on sternum II (as in Fig. 2), a red metasoma, yellow mandible (Fig. 23), two submarginal cells, and a complete occipital carina (Fig. 5).

Remarks. Bohart (1999) failed to mention the structure of the occipital carina in the original description despite the fact that A. abdominalis is one of the few species with two submarginal cells to have a continuous carina.
