East Azarbaijan (Sadaghian et al. 2004 under the spelling D. lytescus [sic] Schill; Ghahari et al. 2010a; Nikdel et al. 2011), Fars (Linnavuori 2009), Golestan (Heiss & Linnavuori 2002; Linnavuori 2007), Guilan (Abd-Rabou & Ghahari 2006; Linnavuori 2007), Kerman (Ghahari et al. 2011), Kermanshah (Linnavuori 2009), Khorasan (Modarres Awal 1997b, c; Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999; Ghahari et al. 2011), Kordestan (Linnavuori 2009; Ebrahimi et al. 2012), Kuhgiloyeh & Boyerahmad (Linnavuori 2009), Lorestan (Linnavuori 2009), Markazi (Modarres Awal 1997c; Arkani et al. 2011), Mazandaran (Linnavuori 2007), Semnan (Modarres Awal 1997c), Tehran (Linnavuori 2007), West Azarbaijan (Linnavuori 2009), Northern Iran (no locality cited) (Jakovlev 1877 under the combination Camptobrochis lutescens; Lindberg 1938 under the combination Camptobrochis lutescens), Iran (no locality cited) (Farahbakhsh 1961; Kerzhner & Josifov 1999).

General distribution, hosts and prey. Widely distributed species, known from Europe, North-Africa and Middle- East, collected on numerous plants, predator in Iran of Phyllonorycter corylifoliella (Hübner) and P. blancardella (Fabricius) ( Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae) (Modarres Awal 1997c).
