Bathyuroconger parvibranchialis (Fowler, 1934): Smith, 1999b:1686.

Voucher specimens: ASIZP 63789 (SW Taiwan); ASIZP 63794 (SW Taiwan); ASIZP 66181 (SW Taiwan).

Remarks. Recent studies by DGS indicate that the type material of this species actually contains two species. Further studies are needed to determine which of these occurs in Taiwan. They are characterized by their small gill opening. Also reported from Japan (F. Tashiro, pers. comm.).
